I went for a walk the other day and gathered these gorgeous oak leaves, berry bush stems and wild aster wildflowers….so pretty! L-O-V-E my black glitter pumpkins! SWOON! The centerpiece is a super easy one to make – I just added 2 pheasant feather clusters into a white vase (I love the modern shape of this vase!) and then I added 3 everlasting silver dollar sprays ….honestly that’s it! It’s quick, easy and I’m smitten with the textures and neutral colors! There are some DIY projects here too – I’ll list those below! It’s all about the contrast of simple rustic accents and luxe shine! This Fall I decorated my dining room and set our table with hits of rustic glam style! I love to combine natural elements like oak leaves, snips of berry branches and fall wildflowers with vintage ironstone, glossy white ceramic, vintage green glass and grey linen. The texture of the smooth vase with the frilly and textural hydrangeas gives this table such interest! The vases work with my style and make them so interesting! They have a modern look, but when the hydrangeas were put in them, they looked a lot softer! It’s the juxtaposition of something geometric and modern against something frilly and old-fashioned. I chose three white cylinder vases in different sizes. I used my little bronze boxwood pots I found locally last year and a sprinkling of white pumpkins and a couple votive candles on the table. The vase and candlesticks would look lovely on their own, but everything is elevated, and nothing is low on the table. I chose burnt orange candlesticks to bring out the pretty orange in the spider mums. And the taller the candlesticks and candles, the thinner they should be, especially if you are sitting down for a meal. The taller the vase of flowers, the taller the candlesticks can be. Next, add tall, thin candlesticks with pretty candles on each side of the vase. One of my best tips is to have an assortment of pinecones in a clear plastic bin ready to be used as filler! White pinecones are my favorite to use as filler.Īfter the pinecones are in place, add mini white pumpkins. Pinecones also help keep the decor from sliding to the bottom of the bowl. They fill up this dough bowl so I can place the pretty decor on top of the arrangement. ![]() Next, fill in any spaces between the cabbage with pinecones.
